Program Overview
Romans 1210 mission is to change the environment in which children of low-income single parents grow up. We can best do this by helping single parents level up vocationally through education, financial independence, and a positive family legacy.
When single parents enroll in college, their family situation often gets worse before it gets better. While the parent takes on the college responsibilities, most attempt to live on inadequate financial resources, all while maintaining a household, managing transportation challenges, holding down a job, and nurturing their children. The parent juggles school, family, and work while facing loneliness, isolation, and low self-esteem. Together, these are significant challenges that often converge and can lead to dropping out of school. To facilitate success, Romans 1210 provides a supportive system and resources for success.
