Amie Martin is the founder and Lead Pastor of 80-Twenty United Methodist Church. Amie was appointed as the lead pastor of 80-Twenty Church in St. Charles County, Missouri. Her vision became a reality; she developed a church with a high impact on the community with low overhead costs, fulfilling the vision of 80% of tithes and offerings being spent restoring the community while only 20% on expenses. Amie and 80-Twenty are a big part of the community, and they are devoted to sharing, belonging, and becoming. Amie is also the co-founder of The Grace Period, a nonprofit for financially challenged families. Amie provides spiritual guidance and leads a 12-week course on Spiritual Faith. Amie has a Master of Divinity and is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. She has served in local church mission departments as a staff member and volunteer for many years.
Amie says, “I founded The Grace Period because I believe in second chances. Everyone should have access to adequate housing and fulfillment of basic survival needs. When we, as Christians, pray the prayer every week, ‘your kingdom come, you will be done on earth as it is in heaven,’ we need to be active participants in it.”
